Suzuki GS150R Photo Review

Today I went to the Suzuki Showroom to checkout whether I could have a test drive of the new GS150R. I  was informed that I would get the ride only by January 2009. I will post a road test review by January first week. Until then, lets feast on these beautiful photos. You can click on the images to have an enlarged high resolution view.
Headlamp and Doom: Suzuki GS150R‘s headlight is a new and different design. Its sharp edges gives it a devilish look. Look at the tell-tale lights, don’t they look like horns!!

The Tank: The tank is a macho one. Even though it is not as large as the Pulsar’s, it does a good job of giving the rider a big bike feel. Can hold upto 15.5 litres. And its all metal, not like the FZ16!

Dashboard: The instrument panel looks really good and one of the outstanding features of this bike. It shows gear position, fuel level, speed, ODO meter and the tachometer is a neat dial adjacent to the digital console. Here is a short video that I took while exploring the bike’s digital console. Click the play button to see the bike come to life.
The Tail Lamps: The tail lamp is not a bulb! They are made up of light emitting diodes (LED) and looks really beautiful. As you can see, the signals are not hanging out, its moulded into the tail part as we see in CBZ Xtreme.

Suspension: With all the latest bikes such as FZ16 featuring mono suspension, this bike has the old model dual suspension which is a bit disappointing. However they have the ‘gas’ thing :)

Exhaust: Neat and clean design. Build quality is very good.

Overall: Not majestic, but still looks good. Beats Unicorn and Pulsar because of the cool digital console and better styling. Has an advantage of being a Suzuki which is well known for its high end bikes in other developed countries.
